Organizing

More than ever before, it is clear that the only way we will win significant changes in climate policy is by making sure that more people are engaged in the fight. Polluters will always outspend us, but we have people on our side. Fundamentally changing climate change policy will require organizing on the ground in new ways, particularly with communities of color and young people.

LCVEF knows that the American people overwhelmingly care about climate change. We are tapping into that concern by organizing diverse communities from coast to coast and encouraging them to voice their environmental values and find solutions to urgent environmental problems. Through our network of 25 state affiliates and community organizing programs in additional states, we mobilize and harness the power of the American people in rural, urban, conservative, liberal, and racially diverse communities to work for change by uniting them for collective action.
