Vote Environment

LCV Education Fund's nonpartisan program to identify, educate, and encourage pro-environment voters to participate in elections serves to both encourage environmentalists to vote and to encourage citizens to vote for the environment.

LCV Education Fund works to contact environmental activists to increase their participation in the democratic process.  We recruit volunteers for phone banks and canvassing efforts, use direct mail contact, and where appropriate we enroll citizens as absentee ballot or vote-by-mail voters.  In some states we also work with local partners to organize voters around ballot measures and those opportunities to encourage citizens to vote early.  And lastly, we work with our State LCV Education Fund and National Environmental Group partners to encourage voting by members of state and national environmental groups.
